2010 ended with a few "dates are reserved" rumors for NJ and Florida so far ...
In November 2010, all the concert promotional material listed that THE WHO would take part in the Killing Cancer concert, organized by Bill Curbishley and Harvey Goldsmith to benefit The Killing Cancer charity. The charity funds research into Phtodynamic Therapy. Learn more at: www.killingcancer.co.uk. Of course, as things usually go, it was not given the "official" stamp to be put on the "official" website until JAN 5th - LONG after tickets had gone onsale.
The evening began with Richard Ashcroft's acoustic set.
Roger and his RD band (Danny Thompson, SImon, Jody Linscott, BIlly Nichols, accordian and fiddle did a kind-of-acoustic set of "Freedom Ride" and "Gimme A Stone".
Brian Adams then did an acoustic set of four hits.
The Who touring band (Zak, Pino, Simon, Rabbit) took the stage and backed Jeff Beck for "Beck's Bolero", "Hammerhead" and "A Day In The Life".
Roger and Jeff Beck, with the band then performed "I'm A Man" and "Everyone".
They then backed Debbie Harry (Jeff pitched in too on a few) for "Heart of Glass", "Call Me" and "One Way or Another".
THE WHO set was next, Pete and Roger and band performed "Baba O'Riley", "Who Are You" and "Won't Get Fooled Again".
The finale was everyone (except Ashcroft), coming out and performing "Join Together".
