Zak Starkey's work with:

1999 ended with a few exciting Who notes! That good karma seemed to carry on into 2000.
Pete began the year with a flurry of solo projects, which included first full performance of the resurrected and supposedly completed LIFEHOUSE; the launch of his own official website plus one for Eel Pie and the premiere release - Lifehouse Chronicles; and his appearance on VH1's Story Tellers
Though
rumors of a summer tour surfaced in February, The Who activity began with the
release of "Blues To The Bush" - a live compilation taken from the
1999 Chicago HOB and London's Shepherd's Bush Empire performances. It was an
INTERNET ONLY release through (the now defunct) MusicMaker.com. The release
on April 10th, was marked by a press conference where the band announced a 20
city tour of the US.
The tour was later extended to the UK, and the year ended with the band performing
a charity concert for The Teenage Cancer Trust at The Royal Albert Hall in London.
Since the announcement of the tour, Pete and Roger have openly talked about
their respective writing for a possible new Who studio venture. In an interview
that hit the newswires on Aug 17th 2000, John Entwistle gives some idea of a
timeline:
Entwistle says the band will take a shot at recording a new studio album sometime next year.
"The plan is to go into my studio, because it’s comfortable and it’s in the house and there’s plenty of room in the house to hide from each other," confirms the bass player. - Wall of Sound

Pete's Official Website (launched Oct 1999) was shut down by Pete on Jan 28,
2002.His
retail site - Eelpie.com
remained up and running and assumed some of the announcement duties.
www.petetownshend.co.uk (.com) was re-launched on June 10, 2002, with a WHO
section in his "projects" area of the site, and once again became
the official outlet for Who Tour and Release info, stories, pictures, sounds
and video. At this time, most all of the "Pete's official site" content referenced
on my pages for 2000 through early 2002, cannot be viewed at eelpie.com or the
new petetownshend/who

in the works.
