Zak Starkey live with The Who at: |
|back to The Who 1999 | |
The
Who returned to the UK, and performed two special Christmastime concerts at
the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London - Dec 22 and 23rd. Tickets had gone on
sale Dec 6th (£ 30 each, two ticket limit), and sold out very quickly!
By all accounts, another killer show!
Roger had some monitor problems. Pete had some problems on and off with his
Gold Strat, which he *fixed* during My Generation, by smashing it to pieces
with two blows to the stage floor!

This has been rated as the best of the two, if not all of the recent Who gigs!
The gig was professionally recorded via mobile sound truck.

These
shows, as well as the Maryville HOB performances were recorded, and the results
were released on an 'internet only' CD entitled The

Pete's Official Website (launched Oct 1999) was shut down by Pete on Jan 28,
2002.His
retail site - Eelpie.com
remained up and running and assumed some of the announcement duties.
www.petetownshend.co.uk (.com) was re-launched on June 10, 2002, with a WHO
section in his "projects" area of the site, and once again became
the official outlet for Who Tour and Release info, stories, pictures, sounds
and video. At this time, most all of the "Pete's official site" content referenced
on my pages for 2000 through early 2002, cannot be viewed at eelpie.com or the
new petetownshend/who

in the works.
