Zak Starkey on releases of: Superdrumming

Pete York presented a number of performances to showcase a variety of drummers and drumming styles. The series was called Superdrumming, and took place in 1987, 1988, and 1989. It was both recorded and filmed. The series was presented in segments on German TV, and the recordings released on vinyl and CD. The original LP tracks have also been re-complied and re-released as a number of different CD collections. Hopefully, the following list is not too far from complete. If you have any additional info, please let me know!

	This CD features ONLY the first 11 tracks from the Volume 1 LP of '87. The scant liner notes list: Analog recorded live at a former church in Staig/Ulm, Feb 8 - Feb 20, 1987 Digitally mixed March & April '87, Munich / Digitally mastered in May '87. The front cover says that they are as featured in the ARD-TV series Super Drumming, broadcast August 3,10,17,23 & 24 1989. Tracks 1,2,7,8,9 and 10 from this CD can be SEEN on the now out of print Super Drumming VHS and Laser Disc. Tracks 1,2,7,8,9 and 10 from this CD can be SEEN on the 2002 DVD release!

VHS and Laser Disc - 1987
There was both a Laser Disc and VHS release for Super Drumming, but from what little information I can find, these were only issued from the Volume 1 configuration. Both are out of print.
